Check shipping
Prices use Royal Mail’s published online rates, checked 21 October 2026. Weigh and measure the packed parcel. The calculator estimates shipping only. Import VAT, customs duty and destination handling fees are not included. Checkout calculates the amount payable to Boomshanka before payment; separate import charges may still be payable to customs or the carrier.
Which package size do I need?
UK Large Letter: up to 35.3 × 25 × 2.5cm and 1kg. UK small parcel: up to 45 × 35 × 16cm and 2kg. UK medium parcel: up to 61 × 46 × 46cm and 20kg.
International Large Letter: up to 35.3 × 25 × 2.5cm and 750g. International small parcel: longest side up to 60cm, length + width + depth under 90cm, up to 2kg. At checkout, larger baskets are automatically split into separate small parcels where supported.
The standalone calculator is a guide. Your basket uses standard media allowances and combines or splits items into tracked parcels automatically; it does not ask you to weigh your order. You pay the total displayed before PayPal. For countries not named in the guide, choose the correct “Other” Royal Mail zone. Check your country’s Royal Mail zone ↗. Service availability is confirmed when booking.

Ordering from outside the UK? The price you pay to Boomshanka covers your items and the shipping shown at checkout, plus only those additional charges explicitly included in that total. Your country may collect import taxes and fees separately.
What will I pay, and who collects it?
For direct website orders we do not currently collect EU import VAT through IOSS. Unless checkout expressly confirms a prepaid arrangement, overseas orders are sent with import charges payable by the recipient (often called DAP or DDU).
Your country’s customs authority or delivery company may ask you to pay import VAT or a similar local tax, customs duty and a clearance or handling fee before delivery. These charges are separate from our shipping price. A payment to Boomshanka or PayPal does not mean your import charges have been prepaid.
The amount depends on the destination, goods, value and rules in force when the parcel enters the country. Tax may be calculated on the goods plus shipping and other charges. Contact your local customs authority or carrier for an estimate before purchasing. We cannot guarantee the amount they will assess.
EU orders and IOSS
IOSS is an optional way for sellers or marketplaces to collect EU import VAT at checkout on eligible consignments up to €150. An IOSS number is not required for every parcel. Without IOSS, the receiving carrier can collect import VAT and applicable charges from you.
Our direct website orders do not use Discogs’ IOSS number. If you purchase through Discogs, its checkout shows the taxes it collects on that order and its IOSS arrangements apply where eligible. VAT collected by a marketplace does not automatically cover customs duty or all handling fees.
EU customs duty and handling fees
Since 1 July 2026, a temporary €3 customs duty applies to eligible low-value parcels entering the EU. It is assessed by item category/customs declaration line, so it is not simply €3 for every parcel or every physical record. Other customs treatment can apply depending on the shipment; goods above €150 require a separate assessment.
Customs duty is separate from import VAT. Carrier clearance fees and additional destination-country charges can also apply. Royal Mail advises a further EU handling fee from 1 November 2026. We do not treat €3 as a complete or guaranteed tax bill, and the shipping calculator does not add a fixed customs amount.
Countries outside the EU
Each destination has its own import rules, tax thresholds and fees. The EU’s IOSS scheme does not apply to countries such as Norway, Switzerland, the USA, Canada or Australia. Import taxes, duties and carrier charges may still apply. Where a service requires us to prepay a charge, any amount payable to Boomshanka must be included in the checkout total before you pay.
Customs declarations and delivery
We declare purchases as commercial goods using an accurate description and sale value. We cannot mark a purchase as a gift or reduce its declared value. Please provide a complete delivery address and any recipient tax or identification details required by your country through an agreed secure method.
Customs checks or requests for payment can delay delivery. Tracked delivery aims are estimates, and customs processing time is outside our control. Follow genuine payment or information requests from the receiving postal service promptly.
Questions, returns or a parcel held by customs?
Email us or message us on Facebook Messenger with your order reference. Contact us before refusing delivery so we can discuss the next step. Your cancellation and refund rights are explained in our Returns & refunds policy.
Taxes or fees paid directly to customs or a carrier are separate from payments to Boomshanka. Any claim for their repayment must be checked with the organisation that collected them; repayment is not automatic. This does not affect your statutory rights or our published refund commitments.

Useful information
How much is shipping?
A UK Tracked 48 small parcel up to 2kg is £5.25 shipping. Use the calculator above for other sizes and destinations.
Can several items go together?
Yes. Shipping is based on the combined packed size and weight of each parcel, rather than charged per item.
Does shipping need approval?
No. Choose collection or a configured tracked delivery destination in your basket, review the total and pay. A shipping profile or destination that is not configured cannot be purchased for delivery; collection remains available. US delivery is currently unavailable at checkout until its prepaid import-duty rate is configured.
Where can you send to?
We offer UK and worldwide tracked shipping, subject to Royal Mail service availability for your destination.
When will my order arrive?
Royal Mail aims for 2–3 working days after posting for Tracked 48; International Tracked aims for 3–5 working days to Europe and 5–7 worldwide. These are delivery aims, not guarantees; postcode exceptions, customs and local services can affect timing. We will arrange dispatch after payment.
How do I ask about a purchase?
Speak to us at the counter. If you have already bought the item, have your receipt or order reference ready.
